Ian Hope-Simpson
Ian is an experienced artist-blacksmith working primarily with iron to create a variety of sculptural and functional works.
His focus since 1993 has been his long-lasting interest in artistic ironwork, using the traditional processes of blacksmith forgework.
Ian is also an accomplished woodworker & carpenter and is experienced in timberframe construction, stone masonry, metal spinning & casting and horseshoeing.
He designed and built his own home and blacksmith shop in Nova Scotia, where he lives with his family. His work is available on-site, through custom orders and at various craft shows.
